Ferrari 458 Italia is a two-seat, mid-engine, rear-drive super sports car. Born as a replacement to the F430, but completely new from the ground up, striking figure and stunning performance has again set the benchmark in the class.
Tracing the lineage of these 458 can take you all the way back to the birth of Ferrari, but as a mid-engined coupe built with luxury buyers in mind, it is very close from the line of cars going back to Dino, and includes 308 GTS, 348, F355, 360 Modena, and immediate predecessor, the F430. The 458 Italia debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show before it was sold later that year.

A convertible version of the 458 Italia, which is known as the Spider 458, introduced at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Using a retractable hard top that opens and closes in about 14 seconds, Spider fits 0-60 mph harder-peak times, but the drag-limited top speed of 198 mph.
Some 458 Italian racing edition have also been built, including the cars to the ACO and the FIA ​​GT-class racing, as well as the Ferrari Challenge race cars for one-make spec series of the company, and the model developed specifically for Grand-am competition.
